This is a nicely built ladder which makes good use of standard quake textures.

This prefab is a square set of spiral
stairs...i.e. - it's not round. The prefab is made so that it can be
stacked on top of itself several times to any desired height. There are 2
light entities in the entire prefab, both being wall torches.

This is a variation of the hang-walk submitted by Aegis which
is further down this page - basically this fits in with the tech group
of prefabs and has modifications to suit.

castlestair.zip (2k) - matthew 'bushboy' trow
I knocked this prefab up in about 20 minutes - something
that I could never do before - I've tried countless times to
get a spiral stair within a turret which has low brush count,
fits to a 64x64 grid and that can have convincing entrances
to the stairs on all levels.
I've managed to achieve it on this one - the whole
structure is 256 high and can be repeated as many times
as you wish - I've left the top open, so you can put whatever
decoration/roof on it that you wish, or simply put the standard
castle turret top on it complete with flagpole.

This is a hard prefab to get screenshots from as it is pretty big,
it'll make an excellent staircase in whatever style level - I can
also picture it being a pretty good deathmatch feature, as there is
a door under the stairs where a good power-up/weapon could make an
intersting scenario.

A suspension bridge type prefab - could be used effectively
over lava and can be "stretched" easily by adding/subtracting
"ribs".

An updated spiral staircase, with handrail.
Be very careful using this prefab, make sure
you place it in a small area which is well seperated
from others and do not include to many light entities
in that area, otherwise it'll slow down framerates
and take ages to VIS - used with care it can be
very effective.
